So, all week I’ve been trying to blog with photos of the happenings around here… and unfortunately my photo upload, does not want to work for me. So here I am again, with no pictures. When Phil gets home from church I think he may have to fix this problem.

We’ve had a great week…. Last Sunday we had friends over for a BBQ dinner, we had hoped to go to the beach for a fire, but it was a little raining, to opted to just stay here. Lindsay and Ben stayed late and we played crib… which both the boys and the girls won 1 game.

Monday night, my parental-units came over and we played crib and visited with them! We try to have them over at least once while dad is home, and we go over a few times too. We had a lot of fun, again played crib – mom and I were on a team and won both games!!!!! So, next time dad is out we are having a re-match.

Today, and yesterday, I am working at the Home Show – where we have a display set up and sell certificates for the studio. I work the morning shift and then Carolyn comes in for the afternoon, which is great, it doesn’t make it too bad.

This afternoon, starting at 3 we are having our Youth Progressive Dinner…. when we started it all – I told people who’d be hosting we’d probably have 12 people including Phil and I. So…. we were so wrong. We had 16 youth sign up!! So we have 4 adults coming – to make sure they all get to where they need to be! 2 vans + 2 cars + 3 leaders + 1 parent + 16 youth + 4 hosts = 1 great progressive dinner!!!! All 20 of us will be taking over the houses of 4 families over the afternoon to eat an appy, some salad, a main course, and dessert! MMmmm mmm!

At the end of my work day Shannon and Cathy showed up with yummy coffee, and then Shannon invited us to mom and dad’s for dinner – mom is in Edmonton, so it was Dad, Phil, Shannon and Me. We had chinese – it was delicious!! Following the lovely dinner, and great company. Us 3 ‘kids’ headed to our house for a night of games, and Mattias met up with us here too – we played rockband and mario kart – and in between, I made muffins, and Shannon and Phil and Mattias jammed… it is so great to have music in the house again!!!

Now, it is late, and time for bed. Phil has beat me to bed, which never happens! Have a great weekend everyone!!

Growing up mom would often re-arrange the living room, or rec room. If we wanted to move our bedroom around we did. Mom would let us redecorate our room every few years too! It was just normal, it wasn’t much and often didn’t cost anything (except for redecorating of course), but it was fresh, and different.

I get the ‘change’ bug sometimes too – the house we are in now, well either the living room is too small, or the furniture is too big – but rearranging it isn’t much of an option. The way it is set up really is the most practical way. But I still was wanting a change, something a little different.

So yesterday, I jumped in and changed everything around on the mantle – and it looks great!

We put up the mirror, and changed the photos in the frame (were wedding photos, now are pictures Phil took – the ones in it are all from our honeymoon in tofino) Added some flowers, put new candles in and just moved a few things. I’m very happy with it – it gives the whole room a different feel, and is quite relaxing.

Our youth group decided to get hoodies – and they arrived back today! It was a super fast turnover – we ordered them Monday!!! Awesome!!!
