To start off…. the dresser transformation:

Valetines weekend Phil and I headed to Camp Homewood with our youthgroup fore Valen-teen weekend. It was a great weekend away! It is a wonderful retreat for leaders, because you really don’t have anything to do but be with the youth and hang out and relax. There is archery, riflery, sailing, riding, obstacle course, wide games, worship, speakers, and fellowship. It was a great weekend!! Here is the group we took.

Last week, Allie (my wonderful cousin) came to visit me from Edmonton for her reading break!! It had to be a break to remember so we filled it full of activities! She arrived on Saturday while we were away, and spent time with Mom and Shannon. On Sunday we picked her up and she stayed with us the rest of her stay. It was a packed week or fun!
Monday = hydropath at the kingfisher
Tuesday = beach time & Campbell River for dinner and movie
Wednesday = Kayaking (it was incredible out!) and V-ball in the evening
Thursday = went up the Mnt for ozoning!
Friday = Allie went home :(

I am back to work now, actually I went back to work on Friday of last week – but came home sick after a couple hours as I came down with a wicked flu, and was sick all weekend! But am better now, and back to work, and it feels good to be back.

Phil celebrated his 23rd birthday this past Sunday! Yay!! We had our family birthday Sunday night, with yummy cake at mom and dad’s. This Saturday we are having our annual bowling party for Phil which will be awesome, then games and cake back here after.

So that is our BIG update!

Finally…

Before we moved into this house, we had sorted through a lot of stuff, and had boxes that needed to go to the dump, clothes that needed to be donated, and stuff to be recycled. When we moved in however, we left 3 days later for our trip to Disney World, and then got home, and it just wasn’t on our mind. We were setting up inside, and not really concerned about the shed. For the last 2 months we’ve talked and talked about how it has to be done…. and today was the day. We went through everything!!! Phil and Andrew did a dump run, and a recycling run. The shed is clean, we don’t have a lot of extra stuff now, which is a great feeling.

Life is good!!

Life has been great here! We’ve been busy, but good busy, not too busy. Phil has been working, and work has been going really well. I’ve been a busy-bee organizing like crazy, one room, one closet/cupboard at a time. But it’s coming and feels great. Today I did my spice cupboard & baking cupboard.

Next weekend, we are taking our youthgroup to Quadra Island for a youth retreat. Then Allie is coming to visit for a week (YAY!!), 2 days after she leaves, Phil’s friend Greg is coming from Winnipeg to visit us for a week. So we’ll be busy for the rest of the month. I go back to work on the 19th, so it will be good to be back in ‘routine’. Phil’s birthday is the 22nd, so we’ll have our annual bowling party we always have for him, and then a gathering here at our place!

I headed down to Nanaimo again this week for lunch with Wanda, and got to show off my completed albums I’ve been working hard on! Then after hung out with Tra for the afternoon, so it was a great way to spend my Tuesday.

The weather here has been great, it’s been sunny or foggy, not really any rain, which has been nice! I’m looking forward to spring!! Phil is looking forward to our weekly volleyball nights that start up in spring. And of course, spring is wonderful cause my birthday is in there, as well as our 2nd anniversary!!!!

I’m being called to join in for rock-band, so until next time.
