Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree

December 6th, 2008 | Posted by keltie in Uncategorized

Tomorrow is the day I’ve been waiting for — after church, mom, dad, Shannon, Phil and I will pile into the car (well, the girls will, the boys will be in the truck) and head up to the tree farm to find our Christmas Tree!! It’s definitely a family affair and I’m really excited! We get to pick it & cut it down which is always fun. Phil and dad are resposible to carry said tree’s back to the shop – and then load them into the truck and get them home safely!

1st stop – our house – Dad and Phil will set it up in the tree stand and then — DECORATING TIME! WooHoo!!!

2nd stop – mom & dad’s house – Dad sets up tree – Mom and Shannon Decorate

Dinner — mom is making yummy chicken chilli — a wonderful way to finish a wonderful day…. I think we might even find time for a game or 2!

I love Christmas!!

In other news: Phil has a week off at Christmas — YAY! so do I – so we are gonna r-e-l-a-x. We are really looking forward to our Christmas eve service – it is at Crown Isle and is fantastic!

Next week, our youth group is having a Red, White and Green night, which will be a blast.

The following week – we are out at a gingerbread party, then we are hosting a Christmas party – then Christmas, and then we are hosting a New Years Party!

Mikey is coming home as of Tuesday – I think I’ll have to fight for Phil’s attention for a little while, since it’s been a while since the last ‘visit’.

Good friends of ours are expecting a bambino in the new year! Congrats Sharon & Chad – we love you 2 – soon to be 3!

Oh and just in case you were wonderng — 19 days until Christmas!!!

I hope you guys have lots of fun today. The weather looks like it won’t be too bad either. We got about two inches of snow last night, so it is finally starting to feel like winter here. Not enough to make me want to put the up the Christmas tree yet, though. Maybe next weekend.
